Kids Hope

Warnbro Community Church partners with Kids Hope to support students at Charthouse Primary School through one-on-one mentoring. Each week, trained mentors from our church spend one hour with a child, offering friendship, encouragement and support. This partnership builds trust, strengthens wellbeing, and reflects God’s love in a practical, personal way.

The Story.

Kids Hope is Australia’s largest early intervention, school-based mentoring program. Its mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable children through one-on-one mentoring relationships that foster resilience, confidence and hope. The vision is simple and powerful: to give every child the chance to thrive emotionally, socially and academically by connecting them with a caring adult.

Each mentor commits to spending one hour each week with one child, building trust and consistency over time. These relationships have a measurable impact on a child’s wellbeing, behaviour and outlook — not through tutoring or counselling, but through presence, listening and encouragement. Rooted in Christian compassion, Kids Hope is a way for churches to demonstrate God's love in action in their local communities.

Warnbro Community Church is proud to partner with Kids Hope at Charthouse Primary School. We currently have a growing team of mentors, each meeting weekly with a student during school hours. This simple, consistent presence makes a lasting difference — not only in the life of a child, but often in the life of the mentor too.

Our involvement has built deep trust with the school and opened doors for wider partnership, demonstrating the love of Jesus in meaningful ways. As we look ahead, we’re praying for more people to step into this life-giving ministry, one hour at a time. We believe every child matters to God — and one caring adult can help change the trajectory of a young life.
