CAP
We partner with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to support those in our local community facing financial distress. Through money mentoring, we offer practical help, meaningful connection, and the hope of Jesus. Financial hardship is isolating - but no one should walk alone. Together, we create space for dignity, transformation, and whole-life renewal through
the local church.

The Story.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) exists to equip the local church to walk alongside people in financial distress, offering practical support and the hope of Jesus. Financial hardship is often a lonely, isolating experience — but no one should have to walk that road alone. Local churches are uniquely placed to offer safe, caring environments where whole-life transformation can take place. Through money mentoring, CAP helps people develop personalised budgets, build financial confidence, and find freedom from overwhelming debt.
But it’s about more than money — it’s about relationships, dignity, and restoration. When churches partner with CAP, they become beacons of hope in their communities, offering not only help with finances but the opportunity to encounter God’s love in action. CAP’s mission is to see lives changed, families restored, and hope renewed as churches share the practical love of Jesus with those in need.
Warnbro Community Church partners with CAP to bring hope and freedom to those struggling financially. Through our trained Money Mentors, we walk with people through budgeting, debt management, and personal transformation. Our CAP ministry doesn’t just offer financial advice — it creates space for connection, restoration, and encounter. People in distress are supported with dignity, invited into community, and introduced to the life-changing love of Jesus.
Many in our church have gone through CAP themselves, finding hope and confidence — and are now equipped to help others. Through the CAP program, we disciple our church to think biblically about money, act compassionately towards those in need, and offer whole-life care that reflects Christ’s heart. Whether by mentoring, praying, giving, or referring someone in need, our church family is part of a growing gospel movement to see people move from weary to joyful — just like Yvonne’s story.
